Boxman is my TI99/4a version of a DOS game called Blockman.  In the game you move your guy, (in Black), to try and get to the finish square, (in Yellow).  You can move only the, (Blue), boxes by using the arrow keys or the E, S, D, and X keys. You can pick and drop the boxes with the man.  When you are going to pick up a box the man’s arm needs to be pointing toward the box.  You can drop the box only in a blank space; this does include a single character, like wall or box, so that the box would be on top of the wall or box.  You can jump up-left or up-right one character space as long as there is nothing immediately above the space.  However, you can safely jump down any number of spaces.  To run the program load the file OLD DSK1.BOXMAN-X and then type RUN.  There are 23 levels in the game that get harder as you go along.  These levels are included in the Zip file and must be in drive number one.  Each level is loaded into the game from disk.  If you get stuck and cannot move press the Zero key to return to the main menu.  The menu updates itself as you complete each level.  You can then select any level that has been played so far.  Once you stop the game and quit the menu will reset to just the first level. The levels are from A to W.

It in was written in Extended Basic and then used Harry Wilhelm’s compiler to turn it into Assembly code.  I hope you enjoy this as much as I have.  Thank You Harry Wilhelm for the compiler.

Any one can freely download this and other programs from my webpage: redbaron.htmlplanet.com.  It is a zip file.
